How do you make a porridge with Plainly Good?

Hot porridge: 1 serving of dry mix + 1/2 cup liquid. Stir. Microwave 30 seconds. Let stand 2 mins. Enjoy!

Cold overnight porridge: 1 serving of dry mix + 1/2 cup and 2 tbsp  liquid. Stir. Refrigerate for 1 hour or more. Enjoy!

How much is 1 serving?

1 serving of dry mix = 38 grams = 4 loose tablespoons

Why can't I eat if right away after microwaving?

It's important to let it stand for 2 mins for the mixture to soak up the liquid. Otherwise, you'll have a more seedy texture with too much liquid.

My porridge is too runny. What can I do?

You can let it sit for a while longer and it will naturally thicken up. If you still find it too runny, simply add a tiny bit more of the mix.

My porridge is thick! What can I do?

The more you let it sit, the thicker it can get. Simply stir in more liquid, perhaps a teaspoon at a time to reach your preferred consistency.

My porridge is too bland. What can I do?

If you've eaten lots of heavy tasting or sugary foods prior to, Plainly Good might not taste as flavourful and decadent. If your taste buds think your porridge is too bland, feel free to add some toppings! The point is, regardless of your toppings, Plainly Good's oat-free porridge mix is a much more low carb and low glycemic alternative to your traditional cereals and oatmeals!
